and I'm the heart and soul of Carlys Cakery!
Thanks for stopping by! My goal is to make beautiful cakes with a unique and delicious style. My cakes are made with only the finest ingredients and all of my recipes have been tested & tried (my girls eat a lot of cake!) until the perfect blend and balance of flavor/sweetness has been achieved.
Cake is a delicious way of life and I continue to strive for perfection with each custom cake that I make! When I'm not covered in powdered sugar and flour, all of my free time is spent with my two little girls, Adelynn (5) & Willa (3) and boyfriend Matt.
It wasn't long after decorating my first cake in Home Ec at the age of 15, I knew that cake decorating was something that I wanted to pursue.
After high school, I attended Le Corden Bleu Culinary Institute in Pittsburgh, graduating with an Associates Degree in Baking and Patisserie. Since then, I have honed my skills in a variety of different bakeries throughout Florida.
Upon moving back home to Ligonier, I quickly learned that the bakery life isn't for me (this mama isn't meant to do 3AM work mornings) and I starting off small making birthday cakes for close friends and family. That's when my passion for making custom cakes really blossomed. I am now a full time mom and caker serving the Ligonier, PA area and surrounding cities.
